I worked on this for a really long time. I'm not sure if I'm done with it, but I think I'm happy with it at this point. This is my last piece done for school! It has to be good.

It's an illustration of Miles Davis' Second Great Quintet which featured Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams and Wayne Shorter. I love them.

It's fun. That group was awesome.

Attention deviantArt: if you cannot spell "world domination", do not attempt it. This may be your only warning.
Beautiful style as always. Nice composition and great mix of illustration and texture.

dude, I'm seriously amazed at how many sketches with the poses you did before going with the final one.. I beleive there was like, 10 of them?

when I draw my shit, I can sometimes go without a sketch, or do like 1-2 sketches max and roll with what I got from that.
maybe I should take the more patient approach haha :).

Haha, I guess I don't usually do that. I did it this time because I wanted this to be perfect. And it still isn't exactly perfect... But I'm happy with it.
My teacher for this course loves for us to do millions of sketches and planning, though... So he'll be proud.
